Minoxidil can also be taken as an oral medication to prevent and reverse hair loss. Because it is a blood pressure medication, careful evaluation of your health is needed prior to stat of this medication.

Propecia (Finasteride) is a testosterone derivative (DHT) inhibitor which acts on the hair cells to prevent them from thinning and falling when they come in contact to DHT. Because of its effects on the testosterone hormone, there may be some side effects with the use of this medication.
